HEART INSIGHT OF ALLAH

Image
Dead Hearts {Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart, or who gives ear, and earnestly witnesses (the truth).} (Quran 50: 37) The verse above states that if a person “has a heart”, listens closely, and becomes a witness, only then can he/she grasp the message of the Quran. This indicates that not everyone ‘has’ a heart, meaning that the person’s ‘spiritual heart’ is non-existent or dead. Because we know for sure that every living human being does possess a physical, beating heart, this verse can thus, only be alluding to the ‘spiritual’ heart. It is true that many people attend talks and gatherings in which the Quran is taught, discussed and explained. However, not everyone changes as a result of attending gatherings of knowledge. Only those listeners can take away beneficial reminders and corrective spiritual guidance from such talks, who listen attentively; with a thriving, open heart, their ears keenly tuned into the words of God, and their whole being – body and...

Lesson of Life Imam Ghazali

Image
8 Eight Lessons by Imam Ghazali YOUNG MAN : Reflect, too, upon the story of Hatim the deaf who was the companion of  Shaqiq al-Balkhi (may the mercy of Allah be upon them both). One day Shaqiq enquired of Hatim: “For 30 years you have been my companion. What, pray, have you gained from  it?” Hatim replied: “I have gained eight benefits with which I am contented and from which I  expect my salvation and my deliverance.” “And what are they?” Shaqiq asked. Said Hatim: “ THE FIRST is that I looked at creation and noticed that to everyone there  belongs a beloved. And a part of that which is beloved to him accompanies  him to his death – sickness, while another part accompanies him only to the  edge of his grave. But none (of the above) enters with him. So I reflected   and said to myself: “The most beloved is the companion accompanying one into the grave! I found  this companion to be none other than Righteous Deeds. So I embraced her as  m...

Words of wisdom

Image
Muslimah Rasulullah (SAW) said: "A word of wisdom is the lost property of a Muslim. He should seize it wherever he finds it." (Tirmizi) "The Inspiration Of A Muslim." A Robber’s Advice To Imam Ghazali Having completed his studies, Imam Ghazali was en route back home. On the way the caravan in which he was traveling was waylaid by robbers. Together with his co-travelers, Imam Ghazali was dispossessed of all his goods. Amongst his possessions were the carefully written notes of the lectures delivered by his ustads. These notes were also taken by the robbers. Imam Ghazali sought out the leader of the band of robbers and pleaded with him: “Your men have taken all my possessions except for the clothes I wear. You may keep the extra clothes and other valuables – I do not lament their loss. However, please ask your men to return the papers they have taken.” The leader of the band of robbers was amazed at this unusual request. This young man was not worried about...

3 Lesson by Wasif Ali Wasif

Image
1 . If a society has no moral foundations then success is a threat. Every successful person thinks everyone else is a failure, and this is the proof of failure. Conquering the world and dying empty-handed on foreign shores is a paradox of such success. Wasif Ali Wasif 2 There can only be two contexts of your life. Either you are the author of your life, or He (the Creator) is the author of your life. People who feel that their creation is the responsibility of the Creator, find opportunities unexpectedly. Those who feel that their lives are their own, have to fashion their own means. Wasif Ali Wasif 3 This life is but a dream. A state of sleep but how unfortunate that man's eyes open only when they are about to be closed (forever). Wasif Ali Wasif
